Spring

Excitement grows as
Spring comes near
trees are budding
early this year
the humming birds
seek out there food
the rabbits and squirrels
getting ready to have
there brood
I wait anxiously to
plant the flowers and
vines, to feel the dirt
in these hands of mine
the warm days are
teasing me as it get
cold again i can see
the forecast of another
snow coming just
maybe.
Nature has no rules
so i wait for her to
to settle down so
I can get my planting
in the ground
