Thanksgiving

As they came
full of joy
pillows and
blankets and
special toys
to give thanks
to God and
family
they eat and
joke and reminisce
while smelling
of food that they
will soon partake
the evening all
are content and
slumber off to
dream
Morning comes
they partake again
the day repeats
and then they are
gone
left are the memories
of another
Thanksgiving
with love to
remember till
we see them
again
