Seen, felt, heard
breathing ceased
the awe of having
things that can
take your breath
away
The wind is blowing
to and fro, leaves are
swirling round and round
a chill down to the bone
a humming bird trying
to get nectar as the
wind pushes it away
it tries time after time
not to give up, alas
it secures itself to
the narrow perch
and sips the sweet
food it needs to
give it strength, to
do it again
I watch in amazement
thinking all of them had
left to a warmer place
