Happiness

Quote by John Lennon “Life is what happens to you while you’re busy making other plans” We tend to get so focused on the big things that we forget about the important ones, the small ones.. each tiny thing has a meaning, the problem is we’re always too busy to notice it and take it in account. People say life’s about following our dreams and accomplishing our goals, so, we have this fashion of pursuing the great happiness when we can be happy with the small things that happen to us day by day. One kiss, one laugh, one look… a simple kind word someone say to us.. this are examples of little things that can make us happy if we let them. If we just stop for a moment and start thinking about every little detail maybe our point of view could change into another one full of positivism and that’s how it goes, if we live our life to the fullest.. taking advantage of every detail maybe we can make of this world a better one.. by simply being happy.

Prayer

Prayer is not a mysterious practice reserved only for clergy and the religiously devout. Prayer is simply communicating with God - listening and talking to him. You can pray from the heart, freely, spontaneously and in your own words. Prayer is your direct line with heaven. Prayer is a communication process that allows you to talk to God! He wants you to communicate with Him, like a person-to-person phone call. Ask God it might be you !

Insignificant

When you realize that you’re spending time on a lot of insignificant things, take a look at what the deeper message might be. Maybe you’re afraid of taking the first step toward your dreams. I need to take a closer at myself. I see it as a clue that I might be avoiding what I really want for some reason. Maybe it’s fear, maybe it’s something else. But I know that getting too wrapped up in the details means that I need to step back and take a look at the bigger picture .If you don’t learn how to skillfully put off the trivial details of your to-do list, your dreams will suffer for it. If you don’t learn how to stop caring about all the stuff that won’t matter in ten minutes or ten years, your dreams will be left as nothing more than a phantom of your imagination. These minutiae must be not be allowed residence in your mind. They cannot take up the precious and sacred focus of your attention.

Purpose

Listen to your heart. You realize that it is your passion and love that directs you to your purpose in life. Interestingly, it has nothing to do with making the most money, what others expect from you, or what is fashionable and popular. It has nothing to do with the majority of what was written on our walls by otherwise well-meaning parents, teachers, ministers, counselors, etc. Long forgotten writings deeply buried in our unconscious mind that now and again break loose just often enough to sabotage our happiness and success. That can, if allowed, prevent us from fulfilling our life purpose. The good in finding your purpose is that once you begin doing, begin living, begin fulfilling it--everything you need begins to appear in your life. Purpose makes your life easier. It flows. You are in control. You no longer get caught up in life. One that tugs and pulls you this way, then another. It is by following your heart, your passion and love, that allows the ills of life--the worries, fears--to disappear and be replaced with joy, happiness, and satisfaction. Yes, making changes can be a scaring experience. It is far easier to stay within your comfort zone, no matter how badly you dislike where you are. However, it is never too late to find your purpose and begin taking the steps to live it. Begin by incorporating pieces of your passion into your life. Take little steps and add to them. Listen to the voice within. Soon, you will be fulfilling your life's purpose. Life is too short to feel sorry for yourself, to sit and do nothing. If you haven't already done so, ask the question.

My Idea Of God

My idea of God cannot be either adventitious or factitious (since I could neither experience God directly nor discover the concept of perfection in myself), so it must be innately provided by God. Therefore, God exist! I know that I exist, and since I am not perfect in every way, I cannot have caused myself. So something else must have caused my existence, and no matter what that something is (my parents?), we could ask what caused it to exist. The chain of causes must end eventually, and that will be with the ultimate, perfect, self-caused being, or God.

Nature

When we open our eyes to nature, we see that things around us are never the same, and we discover-each hour, each day, each year- new things we didn't know and new creations that have there own stories to tell. There's just so much,,,,more than enough for a lifetime of discovery! I realize we are a part of nature, part of something larger than ourselves. I think the greatest feeling of completeness comes from our realization that we all have the same role in nature, even the tiniest creatures, and that all living things are related to each other. Those sights and smells and sounds are such a part of who i am as a person today. And because of that we must be responsible, for when we ruin our nature, we ruin ourselves.

Vision

A Vision without a task is a Dream. A task without a Vision is Drudgery. A Vision and a task is the Hope of the world. From a church in Sussex England c 1730

I WILL "SOME DAY"

I have lived in California since 6Th grade and never been to the Grand Canyon, some things you just take for granted,,,,, i live close enough so i will get there "some day" i said, but sometimes that "some day" turns into never if you let it. As i sit here in a motel after going i say to myself, you better do these "Some day" things. You never know what life's journey will put before you. It is never the same when you see it on TV or pictures. There is so much history there and "BEAUTY". I'm glad i made the effort.....

Beauty Is Not Always Forever

When you see what you perceive to be beautiful, whether its a place, a person or anything that is considered beautiful to you, don't have the expectation that it will stay that way. I have been disappointed going back to a place that I perceived to be beautiful only to find it has changed, unrecognizable, as if the place you had remembered had never existed. Now that it is summer so many things are beautiful, the flowers, trees, vines that I have fussed over come to life although different than last year, this year even more beautiful, or in my mind It is. Living in a desert environment, I still need to have and environment that makes me feel the beauty of lush and green serenity. The waterfalls are soothing and the warm nights with the stars like a blanket as I look up is pure bliss, so quiet, no lights to obstruct the view as I look around. BUT, when the fall comes and the trees shed and the flowers go dormant this beauty is gone, not to return in the same way each year. The waterfalls go silent. The desert can be ugly in the winter, BUT when It snows the beauty returns in a different form. As it snows it is amazingly silent. After a while, "thankful that the sloping altitude I am at" you can see for ever the white glistening snow that makes the desert clean feeling, untouched,,,,,For a while, until the cars start to venture out and leave behind there tracks of "someone" is taking away the beauty. When the snow starts to melt again to return to a mess of slush and mud. Again the beauty is gone, not to return in the same way next time.

Better Times

The first step to better times is to imagine them.
